See those steps in the middle? I must have ran down those a good few times.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Spiderman, Airplane2, Year of the Dragon…. and those are the ones I remember. What I have not forgotten is the feel and smell of the place. The aroma of popcorn, hotdogs and the abc emblazened carpet. The feel of the fruit gums as they stick to the top of your mouth… the pearl and dean advert… the crappy picture and so-so sound and yet it was just such a great big place so chock fullof magic!

Speaking of guilty pleasures (not here but elsewhere), somehow the Carpenters came into the conversation and I suddenly realised that yes…. I had Carpenters Gold on my iPod. It doesnt fit in with any other type of music I have on there but somehow it also manages to stand proud all by itself. Not sure if its a Nostalgic thing, where the songs take me ack to the old house in Shirley on a Winters Sunday afternoon… Local football is being played in the field behind the house, and the windows are all steamed up as Mum roasts the sunday lunch….. And I pop out to the garage to play on the Train Layout until the roast is ready or Fraggle rock is on….

Anyway, I digress……
